Chiropractic Philosophy

Our primary goal as chiropractors are to decrease our patient's pain and discomfort while improving their ability to achieve their daily activities.  Symptoms such as pain and loss of function are usually proceeded by subtle, yet important clues. Early recognition of these warning signs are vital to recovering within the shortest amount of time.

Other factors such as proper nutrition, exercise, both work and sleep habits also play an important role in recovery. This is achieved through specific chiropractic adjustments of the involved vertebra and may, at times, be followed by therapies such as traction, heat and ice.

Becker Chiropractic prides itself on personalized care, specific to each of our patient's needs.

Dr. Tom & Dr. Brian Asks some important questions of interest to Harrisburg residents - Chiropractor Harrisburg Dr. Tom & Dr. Brian Asks...

Are chiropractors just concerned with the spine?
Our interest in the spine is because it covers the major communications conduit between your brain and your body. As a Harrisburg chiropractor my job is to locate areas (usually along the spine) that interfere with proper nerve communications to and from your brain. Chiropractic adjustments help restore nervous system integrity. In this way, chiropractic care can affect the function of your entire body.
Is a muscle spasm a cause or an effect?
With the knee-jerk use of muscle relaxers, you'd think it was a cause. But it's an effect. Chiropractors know that bones don't move unless muscles move them. And muscles don't contract unless commanded by the nervous system. That's why your nervous system is the focus of our Harrisburg chiropractic practice.
